Home Up Your Salt Water Fish Superstore

In order to keep corals healthy there are certain nutrients which must be added to your tank.  Some of these nutrients are replaced by regular water changes, but others are rapidly depleted by protein skimming and used by corals.

In the 20 gallon tank I use Kent Marine Coral-Vite weekly, along with Kent Marine Strontium & Molybdenum every four days.  I also add C-Balance two part  as needed to maintain my calcium level at about 410 and alkalinity at around 10 dKH.

In the 120 gallon tank, I am dosing kalkwasser to maintain calcium and alkalinity.

This seems to be working for me, as I notice large amounts of coralline algae growing as well as good coral growth.
